Lexington, KY – God’s Pantry Food Bank has activated our disaster response protocol to support Kentuckians during this crisis. We are working closely with The American Red Cross - Bluegrass Chapter and coordinating efforts with Feeding Kentucky and National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to ensure that food and essential supplies reach those who need them most.
“Our hearts go out to the families and communities affected by the devastating flooding across Kentucky this weekend, said Michael Halligan, CEO of God’s Pantry Food Bank. "We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and the widespread impact of this disaster.”
The Food Bank has responded to current flood relief activation requests in the following counties: Breathitt, Floyd, Knott, Letcher, Martin, Perry, and Pike. We anticipate more requests will be coming and stand ready to ensure a nourished life for every Kentuckian.
