Warehouse Volunteers

Volunteer at our new volunteer center, located at 817 Winchester Road in Lexington, to help God’s Pantry Food Bank feed our neighbors. We have various opportunities that include sorting donations and packing food boxes. Each shift’s project depends on our current needs.

We welcome volunteers of all ages (including 10 – 15 year olds with a parent or guardian). Please contact us at volunteerservices@godspantry.org if interested in:

Central Intake Volunteers

Central Intake Volunteers process phone referrals and arrange appointments for neighbors to pick up food at one of the four Fayette County pantries. Central Intake shifts are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at 817 Winchester Road and require a firm commitment.

Pantry Volunteers

The Food Bank operates five pantries in Fayette County that need volunteers to help stock shelves, engage with neighbors, and register neighbors through Central Intake. Lexington pantry locations are Central Christian Church, St. Luke Church, Lexington Public Library Northside Branch, Community Action-Cambridge Drive, and God’s Pantry Food Bank-Winchester Road. Hours vary by location. Pantry volunteers must be 18+. Register here or contact Joley Helton at jhelton@godspantry.org.

CSFP Volunteers

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of individuals 60 years of age or older by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity food. Volunteers are needed in Fayette County to assemble CSFP boxes and assist with distribution. You must be at least 16 to volunteer at a CSFP distribution site.
