At God's Pantry Food Bank, our mission is to reduce hunger by working together to feed Kentucky communities. In times of crisis, this commitment becomes even more crucial. When the devastating floods hit Eastern Kentucky last month, our community came together with unwavering determination.
Through our disaster relief efforts, we have distributed an astounding 213,633 pounds of food and water to flood-affected neighbors. This is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated staff, volunteers, donors, and countless partners who stepped up.
Partners in Relief
Collaboration has been at the heart of our response. We have worked closely with the Red Cross, Feeding America, Emergency Management/VOAD, and Feeding KY to coordinate relief efforts efficiently. We are deeply grateful for the generous food donations from organizations like Tyson Foods, Jack Link’s, Chobani, Smithfield, Frito-Lay, Meijer’s, Feeding America, McLane Company, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their contributions have been crucial in ensuring families receive the nourishment they need.
