Fayette County Emergency Food Pantries
We are currently looking for individuals (age 18+) to volunteer in our Fayette County emergency food pantries. Pantry volunteers are responsible for checking clients in at the pantry, guiding clients in their food selections, shelving food (may require lifting up to 40 lb. boxes), and conducting regular clean-up and trash removal.
Volunteers must be able to:
- Work directly with clients and without GPFB staff supervision.
- Make a long-term commitment to a particular shift, as consistency in staffing is important.
- Provide own transportation to and from the pantry site.
Current openings in the pantries are listed below. If you are interested in filling one of these weekly or monthly volunteer shifts, please contact Linda Lancaster at (859) 288-5319.
