Distribution Center Opportunities
Please note that our Lexington distribution center is currently undergoing a major renovation. As a result, we have very limited volunteer opportunities through June 2012:
- Most volunteers will work in our repack room so long as that area is deemed safe by our Chief Operations Officer. If conditions require us to move to a different part of the warehouse, volunteers will work in our new, temporary food sorting area. We cannot guarantee which project you will be working on when you arrive. In the event we cannot work in the repack room and we do not have enough food drive donations to sort, we may have to cancel the session. We will provide as much notice as possible to volunteers.
- Volunteer sessions on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons have temporarily gone on hiatus to accommodate for the work hours of our construction crews.
- Volunteer sessions on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings will continue, but are temporarily being capped at 20-25 people each and will conclude an hour early – 8 p.m. on Thursdays and 11 a.m. on Saturdays.

- Every Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m., we host volunteers (age 8+) in our repack room or food sorting area:

- On the first Saturday of every month, we host volunteers (age 5+) in our food sorting area. Families may register for either the morning session (begins at 9 a.m.) or the afternoon session (begins at 12 p.m.). Click here to register your family!
