Volunteer Drivers Needed
We are looking for volunteer truck drivers to assist with a new program we have recently begun. Drivers would volunteer one day a month to take a pre-loaded truck to one of our underserved counties. There the volunteer would help site volunteers unload product. The driver would remain at the site during distribution and then load up any leftover product and drive back to our warehouse. Drivers could bring a friend to ride along.
Drivers must be 18 years or older and be responsible. A background and driving record check will be conducted for all volunteer drivers. Volunteers will need to lift up to 50 pounds.
Volunteers are needed on the following days and times:
- The second Friday of every month (total time commitment is 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
- The fourth Friday of every month (total time commitment is 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
- The third Tuesday of every month (total time commitment is 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
We are also looking for drivers to serve as backups to our regular drivers. Regular routes include those listed above and ones on the third and fourth Thursdays , the fourth Tuesday and the fourth Wednesday of every month.
