Senior Citizen Distribution Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to distribute Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) boxes at the Emerson Center in Lexington one day each month (The distribution is during working hours on a weekday.). We need 2-3 people to assist with a small distribution of 48 boxes. The labor is light and the total time commitment is approximately two hours every month. Broadway Christian Church Pantry Volunteers
Date: Once a week commitment (long-term) needed, beginning June 1.
Time: 12:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Location: Broadway Christian Church, 185 N. Broadway, Lexington.
Number of Volunteers Needed: At least 10
Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old and up
Specific Requirements: We are currently looking to staff a new afternoon pantry shift at our Broadway Christian church emergency food pantry. We are looking for individuals who can make a long-term commitment to a particular shift as consistency in staffing the pantries is important. Must provide own transportation to the pantry site; may require lifting up to 40 lb. boxes.
Volunteers will check clients in at pantry, guide clients in their food selections, shelf food and do regular cleanup and trash removal at the pantry.
