GPFB featured on LEX 18's Making a Difference.

Recently, Christ the King students volunteered at our warehouse repacking macaroni, graham crackers and sorting food.  We had the pleasure of working with 60+ girls and boys that morning and they helped us move hundreds of pounds of food!

LEX 18 paid us a visit and did a nice story on the students who had a great time giving back but volunteering their time with our Food Bank.  Watch the video below or, click here.

Stamp out Hunger 2013 BEATS last year's donations!

This year's STAMP OUT HUNGER, carried out nationwide in partnership with the National Association of Letter Carriers was a very big success for our Food Bank, locally.  The food drive, which received nonperishable food donations from around Lexington zip codes topped 8,000 pounds, 8,271 to be exact which is about 5,000 pounds over last year!

WHAT: Arby’s will donate 20% of proceeds to benefit the God’s Pantry Food Bank

WHEN: Saturday, May 11, 11:00am – 2:00pm

WHERE: Arby’s at 3261 Nicholasville Rd, Lexington, KY 40503

WHY: Summer is a vulnerable time for Lexington children who rely on lunch programs during the school year. In Kentucky, only 7.9 percent of school children who rely on federal free or reduced-price school lunches during the school year currently receive free summer meal programs.

Taste of the Bluegrass Individual Tickets still for sale

The 33rd annual Taste of the Bluegrass is now one week away and all preview passes (valued at $125 and valid for early entry) as well as Table Sponsorships (table of ten for $1,000) have been sold out effective immediately.  However, individual tickets can still be purchased for $75 each.

Help us STAMP OUT HUNGER!

You can help us Stamp out Hunger in our community!  This Saturday, May 11th, the National Mail Carriers Association is partnering with your local Post Office and collecting non perishable food items from your mailbox to donate to a local charity in need of food donations.

God's Pantry Food Bank will be receiving food donations from the Landsdowne Post Office in Lexington on Saturday.  If you live in Lexington, please put your mail and stock your mailbox with non perishable food items like:
