Important change starting January 1st, 2010
Tuesday pickups at the Lexington Warehouse will end starting January 1st, 2010.
Reasons are:
-Not that many agencies were picking up on Tuesdays.
Prestonsburg area agencies now place their orders to Lexington via the online ordering system. We fill their orders here and ship them to the Prestonsburg warehouse for pickup. This added over 80 agencies to our workload.
With this increase we need Tuesdays to fill orders.
We will review this policy in late spring when produce deliveries increase. Thank you for your understanding.
Partner agencies
Partner agencies help the Food Bank provide 17 million pounds of food and grocery items low-income people in 50 counties of Central and Eastern Kentucky each year. Currently the Food Bank serves over 380 nonprofit partner agencies. These nonprofit organizations range from churches, shelters, soup kitchens to child care centers and nursing homes. Each organization has access to the Food Bank’s inventory, educational programs, technical assistance and materials.

Our service area includes 50 counties of Central and Eastern Kentucky.
