CROP Hunger Walk
The CROP Hunger Walk is a fun-filled, scenic walk around the East End area of Lexington to benefit hungry families in our community and worldwide. What better way is there to spend a Sunday afternoon in September?
God’s Pantry Food Bank invites patrons to participate in the CROP Hunger Walk, sponsored by Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington. Each year, 75% of the proceeds will benefit hunger causes worldwide and 25% of the proceeds will benefit God’s Pantry Food Bank. As an individual walker or team (corporate, church, school group, etc.) your participation will make a difference.
The 2011 Walk was held Sunday, September 25 featured more than 300 walkers and a $4,900 donation to God’s Pantry Food Bank. The 2012 CROP Hunger Walk is scheduled for Sunday, September 30.
